Like a labrador… loving being outside

Those days where it’s crisp and fresh out there, but the sun is beaming and the skies are blue, they’re just the best aren’t they?

I had a day like this today, really beautiful. I was with one of my children and we didn’t have any plans or anything to do, so I took him to a local farm. With the schools being back and it being a tiny bit chilly, there wasn’t many other people there. First thing, we pretty much had the farm to ourselves. It was so quiet, so peaceful, the animals (and my son) are just so innocent and care free, it was lovely. I tried to really take it all in as I thought “how rare is this, to fully slow down” so I made the most of it. My phone was away in my bag, apart from the occasional photo of my son with the sheep (he loves sheep), and I just played, watched my son explore, took in the surroundings and appreciated it all. It was a really lovely few hours and definitely helped to dissipate some of my built up stress about the week ahead.

This is definitely something I need to remind myself of when I’ve spent too long indoors, had too much screen time, feeling stessed or just need a reset, to make the most of days like this, to literally soak it up!
